God is in control
I said, “Belteshazzar, chief of the magicians, I know that the spirit of the holy gods is in you, and no mystery is too difficult for you. Here is my dream; interpret it for me. These are the visions I saw while lying in bed: I looked, and there before me stood a tree in the middle of the land. Its height was enormous. The tree grew large and strong and its top touched the sky; it was visible to the ends of the earth. Its leaves were beautiful, its fruit abundant, and on it was food for all. Under it the wild animals found shelter, and the birds lived in its branches; from it every creature was fed. “In the visions I saw while lying in bed, I looked, and there before me was a holy one, a messenger, coming down from heaven. He called in a loud voice: ‘Cut down the tree and trim off its branches; strip off its leaves and scatter its fruit. Let the animals flee from under it and the birds from its branches. But let the stump and its roots, bound with iron and bronze, remain in the ground, in the grass of the field. “ ‘Let him be drenched with the dew of heaven, and let him live with the animals among the plants of the earth. Let his mind be changed from that of a man and let him be given the mind of an animal, till seven times pass by for him. “ ‘The decision is announced by messengers, the holy ones declare the verdict, so that the living may know that the Most High is sovereign over all kingdoms on earth and gives them to anyone he wishes and sets over them the lowliest of people.’ (Daniel 4:9-17 NIV)
A pivotal encounter
In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple. Above him were seraphim, each with six wings: With two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. And they were calling to one another: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.” At the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook and the temple was filled with smoke. “Woe to me!” I cried. “I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the Lord Almighty.” Then one of the seraphim flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar. With it he touched my mouth and said, “See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for.” Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!” (Isaiah 6:1-8 NIV)
Thanksgiving from 2014 – 2015
1.Mimi’s willingness to attend Edward’s cell group. No doubt the Turkey was an attraction.
2. Angeline and Beng Huat’s testimony.
3. January birthday boys thanksgiving sharing by Dr Yang and Jit.
4. Steven and Ian Peng, Li Li and Jay.
5. Saw Se Hay and Emma’s amazing miracle story of God’s faithfulness shown at Grace home. They did not have to buy rice for 11 months when their gov donated 40 bags of rice which usually last for 3 months for 100 people. God’s miracle replayed like the 5 loaves and 2 fish.
What to boast about
This is what the Lord says: “Let not the wise boast of their wisdom or the strong boast of their strength or the rich boast of their riches, but let the one who boasts boast about this: that they have the understanding to know me, that I am the Lord, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight,” declares the Lord. (Jeremiah 9:23-24 NIV)
Treasure life
2014 was a troubled year. My colleague eng Kiat passed away in April suddenly. We lost guan lee in nov, when he suddenly collapsed on a sat am while cleaning his bike after his cycling. Dixon and Calvin both lost their mothers this year. In the aviation industry, 1 Malaysian airline went missing in air, another got hit mistakenly while flying over Europe and 1 airasia flight crashed into the deep sea travelling from Surabaya to Singapore. A troubled teenager jumped to her dearth in my block, that very week when we were visiting guan lee in the hospital.
It’s a sober and solemn year for many. My mum’s heart aches for the son who is lost. For her granddaughter who suffers silently because of her parents belief.
Yet we are reminded that life is a gift from God. That we must live a fulfilling life for God, when we meet Him face to face, we know we have run the good race.
Have mercy on us, Lord. Grant us strength and wisdom as we live our lives daily.

First day of The new year
Peaceful . Did some spring cleaning. Using diction without typing. Have not started work yet. Learning to take things easy. Call a movie on TV, Lucy, with husband. At the same time, planning a Chinese New Year holiday in JB.continue to pray For the two jokers. God have mercy on us.
